Bar Awards 2019

MIXOLOGY BAR AWARDS 2019: The Long Awaited Short List

We’re so happy to finally announce the Short List of this year’s Mixology Bar Awards. It’s been a long time coming but we finally have the names of each category’s five finalists and we’re delighted to share them with you. Congratulations to all! This year is the third time that we’re not only celebrating the excellent bars, bartenders, brand ambassadors, sales reps, and products from the German-speaking areas, but also from all over Europe. In that spirit we’re excited to see the “Spanish wave” that’s taken ahold of our nominations in the Long List.

Spain was the country most represented, coming in at a close second only to the United Kingdom. A country we all know to be at the forefront of excellent bars. Two Schmucks in Barcelona are in the finalists for Best New European Bar and we’re excited to see how they do on October 7th 2018.

Spain and United Kingdom Dominate European Categories

Speaking of the United Kingdom, we’re not surprised to see how strong the royal country is once again represented in the Short List. A whooping seven nominations belong to the Queen’s people and all five of the Best European Mixologists are based in the United Kingdom! We can safely consider that a win, no matter who takes home the award on the night of the ceremony.

As previously mentioned, the gala dinner will take place on October 7th 2018. Shortlisted nominees will receive an invite to the dinner to celebrate their success. Interested in joining us for the grand occasion? Get your tickets here, to make sure you have a spot at the table with some of Europe’s most highly regarded bar and drink talents. We’re happy to say that the Early Bird tickets are still on sale until September 3rd, 2018.

The Kickoff to Bar Convent Berlin

And just a gentle reminder, the Bar Awards also serve as a kick off to Bar Convent Berlin, which is generally known as the world’s largest bar-focused trade show. BCB will take place right here in Berlin from October 8th to October 10th. That’s three whole days, filled with tastings, panel discussions, never before heard talks, and professionals sharing their knowledge. Join us in celebrating this incredible industry we all get to be a part of.

Now, without further ado, we’d like to present the Short List of the MIXOLOGY BAR AWARDS 2018:
